Salisbury 2003

An Event Attended by

New Forest Region JEC

Salisbury is a two-day event which now makes up one of the major parts of the Regions events. This is the third year that the Region has attended this event.

The intrepid set up team arrived on Friday night to start setting up.

After the "hard work" a well-earned rest before putting up the sleeping quarters. The bar facilities were tested prior to the arrival of the other members – they were found to be quite satisfactory.

The Saturday started with cool dry but overcast weather but unfortunately this soon changed to rain all day.

The day started with a final setting up of the stand. On the left we see the raising of the flag. The weather soon changed for the worse and rain set in but the poor weather did not dampen the enjoyment

of the day. On the left we have the beer tent which provided refuge for some. Some stayed over and

enjoyed a barbecue. The day draws to a close but the enjoyment continues a good time was had by all.

The Sunday was greatly improved plenty of sunshine and no rain. Below a few scenes of the Regions display.

The arena display
But it wasn’t only cars there was a display involving eagles, owls and falcons. Also some magnificent displays by the Sealed Knot a Civil War re-enactment society.
Also for those interested in other vehicles some tractors and agricultural equipment.

So those who didn't join us this make a note in your diary for next year and join in the fun
